okay so, many different thoughts. lawrence seems to hate miriam and clara, for they lose all autonomy and individuality after they get with paul (who is such an unlikable man). don't even get me started with the damaging, toxic relationship between paul and his mother. don't get me wrong, i like mrs. morel but like... hello?

mrs. morels narration at the beginning was the best. the beginning was so strong with lawrences great, controlled prose, but the rest was lost. i liked the very ending and the beginning but thats it.
