I found this to be quite disjointed and very difficult to get through (it being an ebook on my phone didn’t help) with no payoff in the abrupt ending.

There is beautiful writing and a tragic human tale in this but it is not polished in the way The Great Gatsby has perfection in basically every line. I think this could have done with quite a bit of cutting.
