✨REVIEW✨

languidly paced but nonetheless riveting, πƒπ„π‚π„πŒππ„π‘ ππ€π‘πŠ by Ronald Malfi is a stunning tale of friendship, self-discovery, and small-town adolescence neatly topped with a murder mystery bow.

while the mystery ultimately takes a back seat to the semi-autobiographical narrative and the vivid characters at its center, Malfi’s atmospheric prose imbues the story with as much dread as nostalgia. and it pays off beautifully (and horrifyingly) in the end.

seriously, I could barely read through the bittersweet tears… 🀧
