Of Poseidon by Anna Banks

5.0

I honestly loved this book! It was unfreakingbelievable (book quote ;)!! Really, I would rate this book a 5 just for the humor! It was an amazing book and I can't wait to read the rest of the series!

Emma is just a normal teenage girl. That is, until she runs into a hot guy with the same rare eye color and her best friend dies of a shark attack swimming with Emma. Then, just when Emma's trying to get her life back together, the same boy shows up at school.
But everything's not what it seems. Neither is Emma, the boy, and anybody else (saying any more would give too much away). But impossible doesn't always mean that survival is not possible and disappearance is proven. Nothing is what it seems. Especially Emma's family.

So, again, I would like to tell you just how awesome this book is.
1) It has a great sense of humor. I'm not one who usually laughs at books, but there's no way I could keep a straight face through this book even if I wanted to (but why would I?!?!?)
2) Unlike the other romance books I've read recently (yes, this is a romance) I really rooted for the characters even through betrayal and mistrust and misunderstandings. And especially when everything clicked into place
4) The characters are so likeable, there's no way you wouldn't fall for Galen (that is if you're a girl. I honestly wish I was Emma, even if it was just for a day, so I could meet Galen...)
5) Well, I can't really come up with a 5th thing (and do you realize there is no 3rd thing?!?! Yeah, I did that on purpose to make you look ;) Like this if you fell for it ;) but still read this book and I promise you'll like it (if you're into fantasy romances with a little well placed humor)

Oh, and thanks Goodreads for recommending this to me. (I never thought I would see the day when I read something off that list...)
