Yet again, there is no straight explanation for Butch.
Finally getting some more of the vampire world fleshed out, but the B plot with the lessers feels like it's going nowhere fast, especially with what I think are supposed to be these twists that are lacking in impact.
Compared to the first 2 novels, this one is probably the best of them thus far.
