The Antidote: Happiness for People Who Can't Stand Positive Thinking by Oliver Burkeman

4.0

Reading this was a strange experience: there were three references to books/authors I had read in the last week or two - the concept of mono no aware from [b:The Roads to Sata: A 2000-Mile Walk Through Japan|171242|The Roads to Sata A 2000-Mile Walk Through Japan|Alan Booth|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1266488012s/171242.jpg|165359], memento mori from, well, [b:Memento Mori|120158|Memento Mori|Muriel Spark|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1348186701s/120158.jpg|2934614], and a reference to John Fowler.

I really enjoyed spotting all these connections - it was just as though my subconscious was trying to bring me to another level of happiness without 'positive thinking'!
