The Witch's Dream by Victoria Danann

2.0

i thought the first book of this series (my familiar stranger) was a great mix of paranormal events with a touch of romance.

This one is massively romance, sex and tension, and not so much of another storyline, sadly.

I do feel a little let down by this one. Or maybe i was expecting more of a harder storyline, but this one covers the pregnancy of Ram and Elora, the huge event that is Kay and Katrina's massive wedding, and the emotional turmoil that Storm is still feeling after being 'passed over' for Ram by Elora.

There is a small storyline about a werewolf that needs to be "dealt with" but, its a bit lack lustre. The werewolf comes along easily, no fighting, and happy for the Order to find him a pack to join. That was it.

Storm features strongly due to him still mourning what he viewed as a loss of a wife in Elora, but then he meets witch Lilath. These two have an instant connection but the first thing Storm blurts out is "im not interested in a relationship". Lilath is a sassy, no nonsense woman, and it takes Storm a long time to realise that what he feels for her, is completely different than what he felt for Elora.....more passion.....

Im a little worried about how the last book will pan out. Ive actually decided to take a break before i read it, and im hoping that when i pick it up, theres a bit more in the book than romance...
(Sorry Ms Danann - i loved the first book and the action that it entailed and would have loved to see it continue)
