Hawkeye, Vol. 1: My Life as a Weapon by Matt Fraction

4.0

Yet another byproduct of grad school busyness, this comic is pretty much flawfree. The art is glorious, even if Javier Pulido’s style took a little getting used to, the characterization is solid, especially in terms of establishing who exactly this version of Clint is, and the plotting, despite the series presenting itself almost as the western version of slice of life manga (this is what Hawkeye does when he’s not working/being an Avenger), is really, really good. I love Clint and Kate’s relationship and the series has a strong and consistent visual and written style that makes it stand out from most other big two comics.

Finally, BRO. BRO. BRO. BRO. BRO. BRO. BRO. BRO. BRO. BRO. READ THIS BOOK. BRO.
