Call Me Irresistible, by Susan Elizabeth Phillips

5.0

This was the very first book of SEP that I've read and it does not disappoint. This book had me laughing and crying in every chapter. The romance and the friendships Meg makes throughout the book had me aching for my very own Texas boy and town. Now having read First Lady and Glitter Baby (both amazing books might I add, you should go over and read them if you haven't had the pleasure yet.) I can see how Ted and Meg both take after their parents and turn it around for themselves. This book has me in the feels from the very beginning, seeing in Meg's head after first being introduced to her in Glitter Baby and the snapshot we got of her in What I did for Love was a dream come true.

SEP brought forth almost every character we've grown to love in her other books and they fit perfectly in the town in Wynette, Texas. Seeing all of my favorite cowboys, including the love of my life Jake, all live the lives they swore would never happen was heartbreakingly beautiful. Although I may have a new favorite in sweet, selfless Ted. My favorite book in the whole series, this is the book I keep coming back to.
