Fair Warning by Michael Connelly

4.0

Not my favorite character or story in the set. Definitely scary if you've submitted your DNA to one of the testing sites, especially if that site is 23andme, since the name of the site in the book is so similar! If Connelly is noodling with contemporary technology, I cannot wait to see what he does with AI. Connelly is never one to shy from violence, but this one should definitely come with a trigger warning and definitely merits something stronger than the warning that is on it. It skated right up to and maybe a little over what is acceptable to me. I prefer it implied rather than repeated. I am taking a little break from the series (my backwards read of it) for a little while to pick up an author I haven't ever read. ...but I'll be back to finish it when I've recovered sufficiently.
