A Guy Walks Into My Bar by Lauren Blakely

3.0

I had high expectations of this but it wasn’t as good as I’d hoped. Dean spent way too much time inner monologuing the same thing over and over for the first part of the book, and then Fitz thought everything would miraculously be solved with a marriage proposal. Worst part? It actually worked. I still don’t see why getting hitched would solve anything that one of them relenting to move continents wouldn’t. But apparently I was the only one. It still felt a bit meh to me that Fitz wouldn’t even consider moving for Dean.

This thing had like five epilogues too, which was not necessary. There was even a chapter for Maeve, which I skipped, because I do not care about her MF romance woes. It had no place in this book. I didn’t understand a lot about this, it seems.

That being said, I thought Fitz and Dean were very sweet together. There was sweetness and pining, so I did have a good time reading for the most part.
