Why Has Nobody Told Me This Before? by Julie Smith

3.0

There's some really useful techniques and pause-worthy questions raised in here. I got a lot out of the last chapter and not a lot out of 4-5 chapters in the middle, but I think that's common. The book is really just condensed lessons/common themes from therapy across different issues in life, so it makes sense that it wouldn't ALL be applicable to me. It's a good book, I can see that if you'd never done therapy/therapy was inaccessible to you, this would be mind-blowing. I'm glad it exists, but it's not a psychological deep dive into the brain like I was hoping for.
