Ultimate Punishment: A Lawyer's Reflections on Dealing with the Death Penalty by Scott Turow

challenging informative reflective sad tense fast-paced

3.25

Some good reflections on the topic of Capital Punishment, but the author tended to sway between what felt like sharing his own opinions, and trying not to at the same time. The arguments found in this book are very basic if you've made any attempts to research the arguments for and against Capital Punishment before, but the insight from someone so involved in the system made up for that. The authors reflections from his own point of view makes it easier to understand why either sides position on the issue might be what it is.
