I loved this book! O'Meara's passion for horror and her love for Millicent are very appearent in her writing. I swear you can almost hear her laugh or cry as you go through the book.
It goes back and forth between Millicent's life and O'Meara's adventures in researching for this book which I greatly enjoyed. I love when people get inside baseball on things they're passionate about. It helps that both stories are incredibly compelling.
I also liked how the magic of the film industry was balanced with the many problems pervasive to that and let's be real most other industries: sexism, racism, and ableism. These are all unfortunately alive and well, and we need to shine lights on them to be able to drive them out.
