Beautiful Sacrifice by Jamie McGuire

5.0

“I think you’re just being hostile because you think I’m trying to bag you, and clearly, I’m not capable of taming the shrew in this story. So, lets turn the volume up on Aliens, so we can’t hear that piece-of-shit washer of yours and hang out.”

Falyn Fairchild has a secret. It’s a secret that causes her to isolate herself from everyone. She wants nothing to do with her parents and will do anything to get to Illinois. She thinks she is on the right track until a Maddox brother walks into the diner.

I loved this book even more than I did Beautiful Disaster. I loved this book so much on so many different levels. I like that it combined everyone’s stories in on way or another. I love that it emotionally destroyed me. Absolutely destroyed me. I couldn’t put this book down. I went without much needed sleep to finish this book. I don’t regret it for an instant. With this story, my mind is all over the place. I cannot seem to keep my thoughts coherent and consistent.

I did find the ending a little predictable though. I can’t say too much without giving it away but I guessed pretty much exactly how it would end. In saying that, obviously it doesn’t mar my thoughts too much because I still give the book five stars.

I can see why Jamie McGuire is so popular. Her writing draws you in and you can barely get out. The series is addictive and yes the books do run sort of the same but it is well worth it.

My recommendation: If you need to cry, this is the book for you.

I borrowed this paperback from my local library.
