I cannot understate how much I loved this book. It checked so many boxes of my favorite bookish things: a cast of characters beyond the main pairing who play large roles in the book, fleshed out characters each with their own traumas and insecurities, humor and fun and working toward something….this is a book about healing your inner child and finding love (both romantic and platonic). It’s about reconnecting with family and building a space for yourself.

The book has an amazing Hallmark-esc RomCom story, but it’s not just surface level. It dives into the characters and shows them work hard on themselves and their relationships. It felt very real and organic, but never too easy. I was invested in every character, even the ones I was rooting against LOL. I devoured this book in a weekend and was left feeling both completely satisfied while yearning for more. I can’t wait to pick up book two!
