i think i enjoyed the first book more, not sure if it was down to the narrator, Michael Dean narrated this book, he did a good job but i think i enjoyed Kirt Graves a little more.
I was looking forward to Jets book but it felt a tad underwhelming especially with the stalker/bad client, felt like more could have been done with that, instead of what just happened in the beginning.
also for a brothel story with the 7 sins there wasn't a lot of sex, which don't get me wrong i didn't mind since it was more character oriented but it was an interesting choice. i do love how the author shows different disabilities, Jet is blind and Taylor has arthritis and some anxieties from previous relationships.
i am very excited to see how the rest of the series continues, i think the next book doesn't come out until this upcoming march soo it will be a long wait. I would say that you could very well read this as a standalone, but you won't get the whole backstory on the cathedral turned brothel haha but overall a good addition to the series.
