It had been quite a bit since I’d read a book in this series, and that one had been a little further in the series than this one. I started reading and was drawn in pretty much right away. While I not hugely fond of the varied descriptions of the London and its environs, probably because I’m not British, but other than that I just loved everything. I felt so much for poor Peter for certain events in this book even though I wondered. I definitely want to read more in this series especially since this one is so very good. Part mystery, part magic, all great writing. Recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
