The Nesting by C.J. Cooke

4.0

Overall, I really enjoyed reading this. I felt invested in the story. I liked the characters, the misdirection, the twists and turns.

The two things that I had trouble getting past:
1. The implausibility of Lexi getting away with being Sophie. No one asked for I.D.? Her bank account being in a different name was easily brushed off?
2. Halfway through the book, we find out Lexi has hallucinations? And outrageous ones at that. Her dresser called her a slut...what?! Why wouldn't this be brought up before or after? It would mean she has bipolar or schizophrenia. It would continue since she's not on medication, and would cause all kinds of problems. It's a serious thing, not a random footnote, like "oh, by the way, I'm allergic to latex."
