The Virgin Suicides by Jeffrey Eugenides

This is such an unusual, yet wonderfully written book. It's hauntingly beautiful and ethereal, with an air of mystery throughout. You're always wondering just like the mostly unidentified narrators, or onlookers.

I enjoyed the pace of the book and it kept my interest throughout, despite the fact the book has only 5 chapters and the 3rd and 4th are incredibly long. That feels like my main criticism of the book and made me realised how much I appreciate chapters!

Although the book is morbid, it makes you think about how society views suicide. How people handle it, how they see it, how they wonder about the cause etc.

It makes me want to watch the movie!
