Gypsy Secrets by J.L. Vampa

5.0

I love the way J.L. Vampa writes so I had high hopes for this short book. She writes in a way that really works for me, her descriptions of food, clothes, people, places, everything are always done in a way that I can totally imagine the things she's describing as if I can see them right in front of me in real life.

This book is a closer look into Thera's past, who was one of my favourite characters in The Queen's Keeper, so I was super eager to read it and while I'm not at all disappointed, I sort of want more too. More Dax, more Ghost Raven stories, more flifna and more Nuria (I would ADORE a novella on her past!), but I also know that the desire to read more of what I've just finished is a testament to how good the writing is and how enjoyable the book is.

Top tip: although the book is set before The Queen's Keeper timeline wise, I would say that you should read them in the order released to get the most from the story.
