Full transparency: I decided to pick this book up after the author reached out to me about reading an ARC for the second book in this series and agreeing to reading it for her! I went into this series pretty much completely blind, but ultimately ABSOLUTELY loved the first book!
I loved the way the author described her characters. I felt like she painted a super clear picture of what they looked like, especially Celeste and Elena (our two FMCs).
I COULD NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN!!! I ate it up!!!
Drama, drama, drama!! Haha it was honestly giving me like Pretty Little Liar vibes or a TV show similar.
I LOVED the drama!!
I also loved all the references to The Great Gatsby throughout the book! The Great Gatsby is one of my favorite books so it was fun to see it being mentioned throughout this book. ◡̈ This story does give Great Gatsby vibes in different way.
I think this book was the PERFECT YA book and I cannot wait to dive into Book 2!
