I could not put this book down.
The second chance- ish, fake dating, forced proximity angst was absolutely everything.
Torren is such a golden retriever. He’s loyal to his family (even though he shouldn’t be), and so caring. I love him. That boy fell first and he fell HARD.
Callie is so strong- hardworking and loyal and determined. She is more reserved with her feelings at first and I totally understand why. Their past is kind of messy and she doesn’t trust very easily.
Brit got me good with Torren & Callie’s story! She blended the past and the present seamlessly, at the perfect pace. The slow building tension was soooo good, and when the slow burn finally ends it’s 🔥 🔥🔥. And as always, the added touch of suspense always hits 👌🏻. This book is flawless from start to finish. I can’t wait to hear it in audio and relive their story all over again 😍
