Batman Vol. 8: Cold Days by Tom King

4.0

When Tom King writes well, he writes very well. Even after 8 trades, over 50 issues, he’s still putting out new and exciting Batman stories.

I especially like these books, where Batman is a detective first, and the story centers around a mystery. There is an unexpected severe injury or death (probably not), a revenge/detective story, and to start a book, a philosophical story where Bruce Wayne faces the myth of Batman, trying to decide whether that myth is good for Gotham.

I feel like King is coming to the end of his run, he must be after over 50 issues. I just hope they let him go out on a high note, because he is certainly capable of it.
