More happens than the first book! This one felt more like the show, except the aunt and uncle don't exist. It's also placed further into summer, so it makes Belly's actions a little easier to swallow. Everybody except Belly is still a wisp of a person; even in the chapters from Jeremiah's perspective, he pretty much only talks about Belly! Stephen is completely absent, and Taylor is Even Worse than the last book, somehow.
