Loses a star for poor world building. Sherwood shines in urban fantasy/paranormal romance, but struggles in this original world fantasy.

World building aside, Fourth Point of Contact has great characters, a solid story, and a some nice action. Recommended for folks with good suspension of disbelief.

Note: world building fails in the existence (or lack there of) of queer people. For a queer romance to be based in a kingdom where not one gay person has existed, ever, in spite of the general acceptance of our gay protagonist is... let's say poorly thought out.
