Three generations of women and their strangles of decades of adversity. Having to prove that they are not second hand people. Their contributions are just as important as the men in their lives. The only thing that I wish the author had done was not have so much extra filler that at times I grew bored. I was frustrated, annoyed, and proud as the story developed.
