This book is beautiful and does beautiful work on the characters but of the four raven cycle books this is the least progressive plot wise. This is both a good and a bad thing. If you didn't connect with the characters in the first book this will likely feel like a filler episode. If you did connect well with the characters The Dream Thieves is heartbreaking, tear-jerking and beautiful
