Jingle All the Way by Debbie Macomber

2.0

I want to express my gratitude to Netgalley and Little, Brown Book Group UK to give me the chance to read and review this book.

In this book we meet Everly (Daisy), a workaholic woman that will have for the first time holidays on Christmas. She will spend these days on a fabulous cruise… But it is not true. Her assistant hates her and booked a cruise from Amazon, something that she doesn’t like. In this trip, she knows Asher and her life will change forever.

My problem with this book was that I expected something different and, for this reason, I didn’t like it too much.

Firstly, I don’t feel empathy for either of the main characters. I had never the sense that they made a good couple, because they have an instalove and this is a topic that I don’t enjoy.

By the way, the writing is not bad, it is something quite fluent and simple, yet sometimes I can't continue to read, for the only reason that I don’t feel that it was a christmas book. Yes, it has a place on holidays, but also it is a cruise on Amazon. Besides, the Amazon tour happens quickly, with a little bit of explanations and with some activities that have not made sense to me as a reader.

The good point, and the reason for the 2 stars on my punctuation, is that it is a short book, with a good reflection about how our actions can make us do (or not do) some actions and how a person can change when someone shows he or she other ambitions.

I only want to say, to sum up, that maybe it’s not a book to me, but other people can enjoy this story and romantic couple of it.
