Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami

i’m not really sure how to rate this so i’ve just gone for the middle one...
i enjoyed the process of reading this and taking my time to get to know the characters and all their backgrounds and stories. it’s more of a character study, so there’s a real lack of plot (imo), which threw me off. i wasn’t that invested in the characters but i felt sad for them. or i felt something. some emotion. how does that work? reading about them from a distance but still feeling for them? idk.
it was a good book. a really depressive and sad book. but it was also an average book that didn’t impress or wow me the way i thought it would. something was missing i guess. still i did really like it. simple but powerful.
