a fascinating novel that touches on what it means to be a woman alongside being human, and what it means to have autonomy (both physically and mentally). i really loved annie as a character and was rooting for her throughout the book. unsurprisingly, the men in this always managed to give me the ick. and the one random part about the trans therapist?? kinda odd but i can give it a pass as the rest of the book was good

a book that is meant to make you think and relies heavily on annie’s character and watching her develop over time. if you aren’t into that type of personality-focused plot, it won’t be for you
