Overall:

This book pulled on all of my heart strings. My heart broke for Chloe within the first few chapters. Please know this story deals with sensitive topics such as the foster care system, alcoholism, drug use and parental neglect.

The story follows Chloe and Warren who are partnered together by CPS to qualify for guardianship of their younger siblings. Both having grown up in the system too, Chloe and Warren aren’t only trying to navigate through situations but also heal from their individual traumas.

I picked this book up thinking it would just be another romance novel but I’m so glad it wasn’t. It was beautiful written and handled all of the sensitive topics with the upmost respect and care. So many heartbreaking moments but an equal a moment of swoon worthy moments to put your heart back together. The tension between Warren and Chloe gave me all the butterflies!

The writing was smooth and just felt like a breath of fresh air. Hannah found the perfect balance to tell an emotional love story.
