Such a great premise between the magic writing dreams and Gaia's family history... but a huge let down. I was bored throughout the entire book.

Jacob was so bland as a character and the story trudged on with random and slow plot lines. I had hoped it would pick up and bring some things back around to make sense, but didn't happen.

The romance also felt forced. I actually don't understand why Gaia and Jacob liked each other past him being attracted to her, or why they even had their first kiss since she was so weird about him being a "child" (two year age gap though?) moments before and even the dad is like "you're dating an older woman". huh??

Planned to read A Ghost in Shining Armor, the next book about Gemma but I had ZERO interest in continuing the story after I finally finished this book.
