Love Times Five by Lily G. Blunt
4.0
I love a good polyamorous book…and I knew 5 men in a relationship would be tough to pull off. I’m kind of in the middle of the road with my thoughts on this book. I really liked that none of them were in a romantic relationship at the start of the book. I’ve always had a tough time with couples that bring in a third or more….it just doesn’t always seem to flow well. Wes and Dane as well as Colin and Shaun had the friends-to-lovers thing going on which I always like and however, each pair had almost ‘insta-love’ for the other pair. All four of them were instantly drawn to Zach. Is that a vampire thing? The only one that knew him well was Shaun. They all have amazing sexual chemistry and their sex scenes were smoking hot.
Colin’s reaction to the paranormal was instant and hard to believe. He didn’t question it at all…just accepted it. Wes and Dane were more suspicious but eventually came around. I’m not an avid paranormal reader so I can’t speak to the accuracy of any part of the story that contained that info. The angst related to that was over pretty quick and dissolved in a way that made me believe it wasn’t really an issue to begin with.
There was a twist in the book that took me by surprise. I like their long-term plans and the arrangements they made as a group.
This is a little bit long and I did skim some parts of the story but I liked it overall. I didn’t really like one character over the others and didn’t have a problem with any of them. If you can handle the poly relationship, this is definitely a good read.
