Chicks, Man by J.D. Hollyfield

4.0

I wasn't expecting this to be so deep. I was expecting a fun, sweet rom-com based on the cover and the blurb. This was so much more.

Levi was dealing with wanting acceptance by his best friend's family, especially his dad. He looked up on him and aspires to be just like him. Jim Matthews took him in and treat him just like his son, unlike his biological dad. He owe it to them for the person he become now. But there's one thing threatening him from being killed by his best friend and his dad, which is Hannah Matthews, his best friend's sister.

Hannah has been in love with Levi Dent ever since she was seven. No matter how much she got bullied and looked down on by their friends. She just wants him to see her. Now on his brother's wedding, it might just be her chance to finally have Levi even if its for a quick hook-up in a closet. She won't have to see him again.. But it turns out that her dad have him mentoring her at their legal firm. Would Levi let her go for tricking him into sleeping with her?

Like I said, this was so much more than the title of the book. Hannah was bullied by her brother's friends even up until she's an adult. I hated Rebecca with my whole being and I don't know why Stacey kept her long enough. Definitely in love with the plot line! I'm all in for making a guy jealous (hahah) Did I tell you there's a whole suspense in this one too?! It was so intriguing that I couldn't put it down!

Highly recommended!
