Phew, what a story. A lot happened in this book. First, I am so so happy that healing Dimitri worked. Second, I'm so sad by the way he's acting. Although I can sort of sympathize with his actions, they make me sad. I think part of it has to do with the author knowing that so many people are reading this to find out if they'll end up together. So she has to keep that hanging in the air to keep those people interested.
Anyways, I'm not sure what's going to happen with Adrian and Dimitri. Rose got pretty serious with Adrian in this one, but she doesn't have the passion for him that she does for Dimitri. I think Dimitri will come around to her, if for nothing else than to save her from being executed.
I'm surprised at where this book ended up. It was kind of a strange turn of events. But I hear the next one is the last book about Rose so I look forward to a resolve.
I don't think she'll be executed of course, but I do wonder how her romantic life will proceed. I sort of think that Ambrose murdered the queen for some reason. But then, that wouldn't explain why it looks like someone is framing her. Of course, it could be Victor, that's always a possibility. I'm sure it'll be someone I don't pinpoint though because it always is. :)
Anyways, I look forward to the next book and I just can't wait to find out what happens.
P.S. I also have a theory. Could be wrong, but I kind of think that when Avery (in the last book I believe) was in Rose's head and she saw Dimitri and she was in an apartment and he said that her love saved him from being a Strigoi. Well, even though she thinks that was an illusion, I sort of think that that was her actual future. I think that Avery was giving her a glimpse of her future (perhaps without even knowing it). Just a theory, but that's what I think.
