I was worried that this book would fall into the second book syndrome, and end up being bland and skippable, but I was so wrong. I'm glad the world has expanded, and the characters, both new and old, have gone through so much and changed and I ended up crying at the end.
The warlock not being Adam's father, but like great great grandfather who was obsessed with power and life so much that he'd steal it and not let Death take him away was wonderful,
and Jodi was a hot mess.
