Magnolia Parks by Jessa Hastings

3.0

This is a hard one to rate. It took me a good 50 pages to get into the story and even care about these highly unrelatable characters. BJ (also BJ?? lol what a ridiculous nickname, as if British people would let that slide) was the worst, and I do not understand how Magnolia could be strung along by him for so long, or how any of her ‘friends’ never said anything. It was bizarre and unbelievable to me. I did enjoy the writing, and I did feel invested in the story even if it was a little predictable. Definitely could’ve been condensed down to a shorter story too.
