Wed Him Before You Bed Him by Sabrina Jeffries

3.0

While I certainly enjoyed the brief jaunt back in time to explain the central conflict between Charlotte and David, the bond the two of them formed in the story's "present," seemed somewhat superficial. The sex scenes were steamy and certainly aligned with both Charlotte's and David's personalities. Charlotte's willful and opinionated character was fun to read. I wish that we had been privy to some excerpts from the letters shared between the two of them over the years. However, between Charlotte and David's troubled past, the mystery of Cousin Michael, the potentially looming racetrack construction, Sarah's death, and the conflict between David and his brother-in-law, there were so many conflicts that the relationship didn't have time to develop into something beyond sex in the standard 384 allotted pages. 3/5
