The Case of the Murderous Dr. Cream: The Hunt for a Victorian Era Serial Killer by Dean Jobb
dark

This was an interesting history of a Victorian-era killer which I knew very little about. I found it skillfully written and thoroughly researched, but a little convoluted and repetitive at times. The violence against women in this case is horrific, so I absolutely LOVED the way this prejudice is recognized and condemned in the epilogue. Overall, I thought it was quite interesting, and I can’t believe a criminal as negligent as Dr. Cream was able to get away for so long without being caught.
