Maybe You Should Talk to Someone by Lori Gottlieb

3.0

The chatty, magazine article style of writing, together with the teen angst displayed by the (then) 45 year old author in the course of her own therapy, detracted significantly from what should have been a very meaningful book. The whole thing lacked depth and substance, despite good accounts of the therapy journeys of several of the author's patients. I just couldn't connect emotionally to any of it because of the superficial tone of the entire thing.
