I have loved every book in this series, except for this one.
I can't wrap my head around the fact that this "mother" left her children at home for literally the whole day and most of the evening through this whole book. Yes I know they were 10 and 13, and yes I know it was a different time, but for literally the whole day and evening this woman would leave her kids to go out and check on the turtles. Seriously lady GO HOME TO YOUR KIDS! WTH?
She seriously was a terrible mother.
