A Wolf at the Table by Augusten Burroughs

4.0

I've been on a big Augusten Burroughs kick the last few months - determined to read everything he's written. 50 pages in, this was my least favorite one, but by the end, this wrenching and frighteningly honest book, although somewhat awkward and without any of the wit or humor of some of his more palatable work, was keeping me awake at night and in my head all day. It's really disturbing and, again, just so honest. It seems like this book must have been very hard to write and although it's not easy to read, I think it's an important part of his catalog.
