Civil Disobedience by Henry David Thoreau

reflective slow-paced

3.5

I wonder who took care of the basic needs (laundry, food, shelter, bills, etc) of HDT. He seems gallant in his "you ought to just be free of life's challenges" attitude while also making poignant observations of the human condition. This will take a few more re-reads to significantly sink in, but he isn't wrong in some aspects. Outdated perhaps. Big picture? Perhaps, perhaps not.
