Bad Indians: A Tribal Memoir by Deborah A. Miranda

emotional informative reflective

5.0

Really moving memoir that combines California history, personal stories, poetry, and family history. Definitely deals with a lot of heavy topics, but is a great way to better understand California history and the real legacy of the California missions. I appreciate how it was organized and tells stories in a somewhat non-linear fashion, tying together the past and present, telling a story in one style then a hundred pages later returning to it from another perspective.
