Yellowface by R.F. Kuang

An interesting read! Stories from an unlikable character’s perspective are usually not my favorite and I think this holds for this one. The amount of secondhand anxiety I get is never worth it but alas, I persisted and I’m glad I did. This book covers heavy topics that could be thoroughly analyzed- racism, cancel culture, doom scrolling, publishing world- but does it in a light and easy way where you don’t have to. If I had to describe it in one word: messy.
