Overall, I found this book enjoyable! Kate (fmc) was very likable and had some very interesting points to her character; however, if you are looking for the diversity found in the tv show with her character, you won't find that in this book. Anthony (mmc) was a well rounded character, but as many characters in this series, does not always align with modern views since it is a historical romance.

This book does contain sexual content, however I find that portion of this series to be easily skipped without confusion. There is mild violent behavior a couple times between the main characters, and if that is something you don't wish to read for any reason be carful going into this book/series.
