(I had already read this when I decided to revisit some pre-read books to help boost me out of a slump.)
Samantha Christy tends to put her characters through a lot. They often have lost people they loved, they've got physical or emotional trauma, essentially they all have baggage. I would put a general trigger warning on all her books. Caden and Murphy are no exception. I liked that they let their friendship grow and didn't just jump into bed together as soon as either felt the slightest bit of attraction (some times insta love works, sometimes we need to know each other a few weeks). Some of their trauma seems a little weak compared to the other characters in the universe.
