A classic gossip girl, waspy New York murder mystery, where the sheep ends up being the lion.
Book Trigger Warnings - Grooming, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, child abuse, addiction, slurries of various mental illness-caused abusive and narcissistic behavior
It was often difficult to keep my attention with its spurts of actively engaging drama nestled in between teenage gossip and multiple abusive, manipulative personalities. Only a handful of characters remain untouched by toxicity by the end, giving it that extra dose of “with power comes ruin”.
Not worthy of adding to the “Read Again” shelf, but an okay book to spend some time on.
