The worst thing I could have possibly done was read the last 100 pages of an SJM book while also watching the election coverage. My anxiety is through the fucking roof right now. I’m shaking so bad, I think I might puke, and all I want to do is crawl into a little hole and never come out.
Anyways, onto the actual review. This book so far is the best in the series, loved all the new characters, so glad Chaol has finally figured out where his loyalties lie, DORIAN GETTING A COLLAR AFTER WATCHING HIS GIRL GETTING KILLED ACTUALLY MADE ME FALL TO THE FLOOR AND NEVER EVER WANT TO GET UP. Most importantly, Celeana/Aelin coming into her own, and controlling her power and claiming her birthright!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ROWANNNNNNN, the MOMENT this man appeared it was game over for me. I’m in love with this man and need Celeana/Aelin with him STAT.
Loved this book, loved Rowan, loved Manon, loved Aedion. I’m so excited to see where the next book takes us. I’m exciting for Celeana/Aelin to be back in Rifthold, bummer that Chaol just left.
One small thing. Not enough Fleetfoot in this one.
Also Maeve is a bitch.
